Saturday night from 8:30 to 9:30 was Earth Hour. Turn off your lights and such and enjoy the company of friends and family.
We did (and I forgot to take pictures!) - we ate a late dinner by candlelight, then went for walk in the neighbourhood.
Can I say something? I was sorely disappointed in Aurora. Maybe one in three (or four) houses were dark. Far too many lights, and most houses had multiple rooms all lit up.
Made me sad...

I completely forgot! mind you, we only had our usual light, yes singular, on. So I guess it'snot that bad...
knitting with a friend by candlelight!
wonderful!
helga
I forgot as well!
We were at a dinner that evening, with no chance to participate. However the lights were all off, so I guess we helped.
About extensions. I have this same series of numbers as my telephone number. It makes it easy to remember for my aging catholic brain. The rest is just a St Vitas dance.
Thank you for doing that! Mindfulness matters.
We turned off all the lights and the Wii too. Great excuse to get the kids into bed on time for once. I even had an environmentally-friendly kids birthday party which was quite the challenge, but I did it. The only thing that didn't get re-used was the napkins and they were recycled. It was tricky though.
I took my niece to a Chaverim concert at Church. At 8:30 they turned off all the lights and performed the rest of the concert by lantern. Quite a challenge to play the piano by lantern.
