is that a swatch?

For those who know me - this is a rare occurrence.
but I'm hoping the combination of this swatch (Rowan Yorkshire Tweed) and this software product the EXACT sweater I'm looking for... I have high hopes...

I never swatch either! I've swatched, and still got burned. Much better to get the thrill of casting on and going for it. I figure I'll eventually notice anyway if something is wrong. Live dangerously.

I have sweater wizard as well. Although the 3.0 version is a more recent version than I have. Do you use it often?

I always start the sleeve (or a pocket) for my swatch. That way if it's right, I'm on my way, and if it isn't right enough, I haven't wasted a lot of time. If I'm not sure enough, I cast on with a provisional cast-on and start right above the ribbing, then add the ribbing by knitting downward.

I've got the sweater wizard. It's nice and handy at times.

What's this???? A swatch AND a pattern (ok, ok, a pattern in the making, but still!!!)
I take full credit, however undeserved!
