I AM an idiot... (or just disorganized)

I've torn the house apart (sort of). I'm hoping I left it at the cottage. (doubt it).

What is IT? you ask?

IT is a ball and a half of Lime Green Rowan Yorkshire Tweed. The amount I need to finish this sweater.
I have 1 ball that I can find, which would finish one sleeve to the length I want. But that leaves the other sleeve, as well as the front placket and neck edging. I know there is another ball as well as some partials. I just don't know where.
Fine. It's too warm for this sweater now, anyway, so it can just sit there and mock me. Go ahead! Mock away! I can knit other things, you know! I don't need you!
But damn it, I really wanted to finish this...

Just a suggestion, but use the yarn you have to knit the front placket and neck edging, and divide what you have left to do the sleeves as far as you can. Then you can wear it with sleeves not the length you want,
because the weather will get cold--this weekend I think. Then when you go up to the cottage, pick up the rest of the yarn and finish the sleeves. This way you'll sort of finish it now. I know the feeling of wanting to finish a project. Good luck in finding the other ball! Marlyce in Windsor.

Ooops--just thought of another possibility. If you really can't find the rest of the yarn, you may want to do a border on the sleeves and the neck edging and front placket in another co-ordinating or complementary colour. So then you'd have to use the yarn you have to knit the sleeves as far as possible and then use the CC to make them the length you want. Marlyce who enjoys your blog immensely!

You know the fastest way to find them, right. Finish it with what you have and wear it. Soon as that last stitch is bound off, that measly ball of yarn will stand out like a bright light at midnght.

Have a glass of wine and forget about that sweater for a day or two. You'll find it.
