to heck with resolutions...

(originally sent to me via email - origin unknown, or I'd give credit - I'd hate for "anonymous to get on my back again...)This is Gillian McKeith, host of the show “You Are What You Eat” – she’s 51.

I knew I was on the right track...

She is a TV “health guru” advocating a holistic approach to nutrition and ill health, promoting exercise, a pescetarian diet high in organic fruits and vegetables. She recommends detox diets, colonic irrigation and supplements, also makes statements that yeast is harmful, that the colour of food is nutritionally significant, and about the utility of lingual and faecal examination.

This is Nigella Lawson, she’s 50.Nigella Lawson **UK TABLOID NEWSPAPERS OUT** Nigella Lawson attends the UK premiere of 'Bruno', held at Empire Leicester Square on June 17, 2009 in London, England.

She is a TV chef, who eats nothing but meat, butter and desserts, washed down with lots of wine.

So the heck with those New Years resolutions!!!

The contrast also makes a great argument for resolving to do lots of exfoliation, have professional stylists prep you before you walk out the door and never leave home without a good push up bra! ;)

I used to watch You Are What You Eat until the episode where she had severed pig heads on a table to represent what goes into hot dogs.

LOL Kinda makes me want to eat lots of meat, butter, and desserts!

Nigella is obviously blessed with some great genes...but...it kinda makes me think about all the hard work I'm putting into eating all this "healthy" stuff! lol

LOL!!! I can't believe that Gillian is only 51. She looks much older. I've often wondered if her hair stylist failed to graduate. I'm with Sel&Poivre. Give me a prep person, a push up bra and meat, butter and dessert. Thanks for this great laugh today.

I've watched Gillian, and she does do some great things---she does get the guests tested, and bases their diet needs on that. However, she is an extremist, and I have also always thought she just doesn't look good, LOL. Gluten IS bad for a lot of folk, but I've also noticed that a lot of people that are GF (and/or CF) lack a certain 'glow'.

Nigella is, in a word: Luscious!

I sooooo detest people who advocate any kind of extreme diet. Yes gluten is hard to digest. For everybody. For a small group it creates problems. For most of us, it's hte same effect if we eat too many prunes-GI,um, instability. Doesn't mean we should stop eating prunes either. Grrr
